Mary Seaton Room, Kleinhans Music Hall

Founded in the early 1920s by three visionary Buffalo women, the Buffalo Chamber Music Society has grown from informal church‑basement concerts into one of the nation’s oldest and most respected chamber presenters. Since its inaugural concert in 1923, BCMS has hosted hundreds of performances at venues including Kleinhans Music Hall, bringing world‑class ensembles and rising artists to near‑capacity audiences. Today, the Society pairs its acclaimed concert series with school outreach and the Silverman Scholarship for young string players, ensuring that the tradition of chamber music in Buffalo continues to inspire future generations.
